noticed but i'm just wondering how dpw generally follows up with residents with these concerns. i think there is some comments made that the department's hearing was in june and that the first they had learned of this kind of was a few days ago, but i'm just wondering what's your general process of following up with residents. >> thank you, commissioner. thank you, supervisor. normally what happens is usually within 30 days of a hearing, we would provide a finding or notification to all the people who attended that hearing. in this specific case, because there was additional review required, it delayed -- without that information we could not make a final decision and that delayed it. we were unable until approximately early to mid-november to generate the final finding in this case and i think it became a timing issue of getting it to the citizens and the people who were at that hearing and then as it relates also to supporting this to this board at this point, but we normally do try to inform the people at the hearing and the applicant within 30 days or once a decision has been made

dpw. i see sfmta as well as tjpa. then i see a small nonprofit group. is there some kind of weighting of the scores or is everyone on equal footing in this application process? >> [speaker not understood] actually have to be an eligible applicant to apply. you have to have what's called a cooperative master agreement in place with the state department of transportation. this particular nonprofit does not have that agreement, so, their project would need to be sponsored by an agency that does have this agreement, mta, dpw, the port. >> right. >> dph. we have been working with this agency, the executive director of api and also the mta, to figure out what's the best way to move the scope of this project further either integrating it into mt's existing old program curriculum and outreach, or whether there needs to be a stand alone project. we're also in communication with dph on this issue. we're trying to figure out what's the best way to move this project forward. >> okay, good, i'm glad to hear [speaker not understood]. i'm under the impression apri has reached out to dpw to work as c

costs up front after two years of paying my permit and paying in excess of 2,000, dpw informed me the police department committed an error. it was in violation of the municipal police code. dpw senior managers waived the nee on a new location but couldn't approve a refund. the claim was dean nied. michelle wu, the hearing officer, dpw, gave me the option to finish out the year at dolores park or choose a new location. many of the prime locations have been occupied over the years, and the new regulation doesn't require you to pay a $10,000 fee. do you think the city has given me back the money? and to this day, i still don't have a comparable location. mistakes happen and that's why i wasn't seeking additional damages. i just wanted the money back that i paid. i realize each of you are extremely busy. i know you have to choose which issues to get involved in. remember which issues you also ignore speak volumes of your character. i can only hope these things from a leader that you feel this is important in maintaining high ethics, that you see the importance of taking action for sma

and park does very well with dpw with all of the capital leadership in the city that i got to work on with the city administrator. we need to take care of the infrastructure in many ways and we are loving our parks and why we want this great investment to continue and this is another small yet important addition. we will have $35 million more of that with the connection with the port and the next bond so it serves as a great example how we use the park bonds to of benefit of all of our users and residents and especially because we want our southeast sector to continue evolving in a positive way for everybody. it has been a trial for many of the residents here for many years because of the leadership of the different agencies working together with environmental advocates to make sure we strike that right balance we can have the spaces used for the different use and it is enjoyment of the environment at the same time for the residents. thank you for being here with this announcement. we get four things out of this. a dog run, heron's head park with the landscape and wonderful acc

the engineering group. we have dan -- who i see i missed. excuse me. we have dpw who did the design for the area. we have them with the living classroom and maybe it was going to be in another area but it's going to be here at the port of san francisco and had the help of a number of agencies and the parks department and keeping as gorgeous and welcoming as it is. this part was not a park for long. originally this was supposed to be a terminal and imagine if we can containers stacked around here. instead we have a place for humans to come and enjoy, dogs to come and enjoy, the children come and learn about the natural habitat about one of the areas that is best weather wise and we are proud to reinvent ourselves and use our ability to make it all better. i would like to thank the mta with their vision and the blue green way on cargo lane and of course last but not least the park of rec and park and without them we wouldn't be here today having this great celebration and i hope you come back with your dogs, with your families and picnic and enjoy yourself very much so thank you again. , there are dpw advertising -- these are temporary gates. they look horrible and have horrible-looking cones in front of8iáçg them. probably more important although this is where i need or was healing but the police put rubber gloves on and threatened to take me away. the city breaks about five laws. it used to be they just perform in the evenings and take away the people from their angst in the rain. now they take away the children's right to ascension, the people's right to talk, and the people's right to heal and use our park as we choose. they're are loud speakers going on -- >> president chiu: thank you veryzj'( ksÑ much. are there any other members of the public that wish to speak in general public comment in seeing closed. madam clerk, could we go to the adoption calendar. >> clerk calvillo: item had 3 43 is being considered for immediate -- without committee reference. the board of supervisors hold a public hearing on december 11 at 3 pm with the board sitting as a committee of the whole to consjpxe temporary construction licenses for various real properties by eminent domain for
